Get Admitted to The Recovery Village South Atlanta

Our admissions team is available around the clock to help you take the first step toward recovery. You can call us anytime or complete our admissions form to get started.

Our Admissions Process

When you reach out, our Recovery Advocates can answer your questions about treatment, review your insurance benefits and complete a brief pre-assessment to determine the level of care that best fits your needs. They may ask about your:

  • Current living situation
  • Substance abuse history
  • Medical history
  • Mental health history
  • Family history of addiction
  • Health insurance plan

After your insurance is verified, your advocate will recommend a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. They’ll also help you choose an admission date and can assist with travel arrangements if needed.

Our Admissions Process

Learn what you can expect when you call our admissions team, including the steps towards admissions and what questions we will ask to get you on the road to recovery.

Do You Accept Walk-Ins?

Although we highly recommend scheduling your admission in advance to avoid extended wait times, The Recovery Village Atlanta accepts walk-in patients for our highest levels of substance abuse treatment only between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays. Walking in does not guarantee admission to care.

Once You Arrive at the Facility

When you arrive at The Recovery Village South Atlanta, our staff performs a comprehensive intake assessment of your physical and mental health to help create your substance abuse or mental health treatment plan. Your intake assessment may include:

  • Drug and alcohol screenings
  • Physical exams
  • Evaluations for co-occurring disorders
  • Medical assessments
  • Risk assessments

Will I Lose My Job If I Go to Rehab?

There are federal protections and workplace policies that can help safeguard your job while you seek treatment for addiction. If you plan to use FMLA during rehab, it’s important to begin the process early — ideally before you arrive for treatment. You’ll need to notify your employer to initiate the necessary paperwork, but to protect your privacy, you only need to state that you’re receiving medical care.

Your Privacy Is Our Priority

All admissions calls are confidential. At The Recovery Village Atlanta, you will fill out forms that only allow us to discuss important information with the people you designate per HIPAA guidelines. In addition, no information will be disclosed to any party without your written, documented consent.
